Day72 Mission22

Photographer showed up and we went to the launch to do some water shots.

When I got back to camp Beverly showed up so we loaded up and went into Jamestown to return power adapters I wasn’t going to need. We stopped at the Pink Pig BBQ great place to eat.

We went down on the pier and ran into Norman who had offered to help me. Norman donated $100 cash to Mission22.

I will be making a donation soon with the cash a few people have given me.

Norman from Adventure Watersports Jamestown RI.

Day71 Mission22

Too many chiefs: I had made arrangements based on what Andy Wade head of parks for RI for an rv site for the next 2 days. Then Debbie comes into picture and says that isn’t going to Happen even though the computer showed it was available. So they have me a spot outside the gate across from the dump station farther away from the bath houses. This is how they claim to support me and the cause.

I went out and purchased 2 power adapters for the rv site so I could charge my phone and batteries. Now I will have to return them.

Day 70 Mission22

Paadled from Newport to Jamestown. What looked like a bridge on the nautical chart turned out to be a land bridge.

I talked with a couple of nice locals nd since I was close to the camp I portaged it.

He helped me get the yak on the Dollie and then up to hard ground. I took it from there.

Checked in at gate and had him work on getting me 2 more nights.

Today I walked to Jamestown and pucked apptup a fiberglass repair kit to fix the damage from the Tiverton boat ramp.

Stopped by Jamestown Press and I have a 2 o’clock appt. I also got a message from Chuck and he passed my info to Newport Press waiting for their call.

Jamestown Press went well sending out photographer in morning for photo op.

Met Dave Ritchey a Trans Am racer who will see me tomorrow to get contact info to put Mission22 on his car for Daytona. That would be awesome. He will also set me up with contacts in Nags Head and West Palm Beach.

Things are starting to come together. Making great contacts.
